The following accessories may help you have a more enjoyable hunting experience:

Optics: Quality binoculars and/or a spotting scope is a must. Your guide will have opticcs, but we recommend that you bring your own.

Shooting Sticks: An excellent tool to help you hold steady for that “shot of a lifetime”.

Boots: We recommend waterproof, breathable boots with a non-skid sole. You may want insulated boots depending on hunt dates and location. Bringing a spare pair is always a good idea. (Boots should be broken in prior to your hunt)

Rain Gear: The weather in the mountains is unpredictable at best. A rain suit will make your hunt much more enjoyable.

Hunter Orange: The state of New Mexico does not require hunters to wear orange. However, you can at your discretion, opt to wear orange.

Clothing: Again, the weather in the mountains is very unpredictable. We have a saying, “If you don’t like the weather, just wait five minutes and it will change”. Bring clothing that prepares you for any weather and always dress in layers.

Physical Conditioning: Being in good physical condition is imperative and cannot be stressed enough. Keep in mind that due to the high altitudes and thin air, being in excellent physical condition at lower elevations may still prove physically demanding at the altitudes where we will be hunting. Start an aerobic conditioning program approved by your doctor well in advance of your hunt.
